About
Record Hide
Noun /ˈrɛkɔːd/ [ hahyd ]
1. Like a bird hide but looking for vinyl records instead of birds.
I’ve always worked in music and arts. Amongst the many hats I’ve worn over the years – I’ve been a busker on the streets of Glasgow, an art student, a freelance visual artist, a music & arts coordinator for a local authority and a full time musician/songwriter.
In 2020 I underwent hand surgery which meant I’ve had to sit the guitar down for now so I turned to another of my favourite things…Vinyl Records.
I have been collecting records for what seems like forever. The first record I can remember buying was a Tygers of Pan Tang picture disc (I liked the image on the front) and the first music I remember being completely obsessed about was Back in Black by AC/DC (I wore that album out).
The Record Hide was born out of my passion for music and the enjoyment of searching out great records. I pride myself on offering people fair prices for their records and should you choose to contact me I will be happy to hear from you.
At The Record Hide we also host regular Pop-UP Record Shops. These monthly events attract record collectors and music lovers through to Stirling from areas such as Glasgow, Edinburgh and Perth.
Details of upcoming events can be found HERE
